How much money goes to the central office?
Central administration makes up less than 2 percent of the general operating budget. To ensure taxpayers get the most value from every dollar, LPS actively prioritizes keeping administrative costs as low as possible. In fact, during recent budget adjustments, LPS proactively reduced central office staffing and department operating budgets first to protect classroom instruction and keep budget cuts as far away from students and teachers as possible.
